Who to Ask Questions
If you have other questions about Clinton Memorial Hospital, please feel free to stop any staff member or volunteer. They will be able to answer your question or find you someone who can. Inpatient care areas and Emergency Services are staffed 24 hours each day so even if you have a question late at night, someone will always be able to help you. Interpreters and Communication Aids
At Clinton Memorial Hospital we strive to accommodate the needs of our patients, especially their right to communicate with our staff and to understand what is happening to them. We have tools and resources available to assist in effective communication for those that are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, speak another language, or those that cannot read. If you or your loved one has a communication need or if something needs to be explained in different way, please let one of our staff know.
Mobile Phones and Pagers
Please limit your use of mobile/cell phones and pagers to non-patient care areas such as waiting rooms, the lobby/atrium and the cafeteria. If you are unsure if it is safe to use a phone in the area, ask a staff member. Some patient medical care equipment is sensitive enough to be disrupted by a mobile/cell phone or pager signal so it is in everyone’s best interest to avoid the use of these electronic devices when near a patient care area.
Local and regional newspapers are available for purchase from machines located at the main entrance of the hospital.
The gift shop offers the traditional wares of hospital gift shops such as cards, fresh flowers and balloons along with personal accessories such as jewelry, handbags and scarves. There are candles and other home decor items available as well as stuffed animals and gifts for new babies. The gift shop sells coffee, soft drinks, cold sandwiches and salads along with a variety of snacks and candy. There is a small dining area in the gift shop for patrons to relax and enjoy a beverage or snack.
There is a Fifth Third Bank ATM located outside the Reflections cafeteria on the first floor. It accepts a variety of cards. There may be a fee associated with some transactions. Check with your bank for more information.
Reflections, the Clinton Memorial Hospital cafeteria,
is open from 6:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily. A variety of options
are available at each meal along with cereal, fresh salad, hot soups, lunchmeat
sandwiches, pizza, desserts, coffee, soft drinks, juice, milk, water, and snacks
which are always available. We have Balanced Choice, vegetarian, diabetic,
a la carte, home-cooking favorites, grill line specials, and to-go boxed options
available on a daily basis.
Our hot breakfast line serves a selection of eggs, breakfast meats and other home-cooked favorites such as potatoes or waffles from 6:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Our hot lunch line serves at least two daily entrees, two vegetables and selected side dishes along with the daily special and our grill line items like chicken breast sandwiches, hamburgers and grilled cheese from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day.Our dinner hot line serves traditional dinner fare entrees, sides and vegetables ranging from lasagna to baked fish to stir-fry dishes from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Reflections’ spacious dining room and easy-to-operate microwave oven is available around the clock so even if you miss our regular serving hours you will have a place to enjoy your meal and be comfortable. CMH Nutritional Services also offers a guest plate option for those visitors that would like to stay in their loved one’s room to enjoy a meal together. Guests may order from the same menu that our patients order from. Guest orders can be placed by calling x9723 between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. with deliveries beginning at 11 a.m. The meal will be delivered to the patient’s room within 30-45 minutes of the order or within 10 minutes of a chosen delivery time if ordered well in advance. Meals are to be paid upon delivery to the patient’s room. The charge for a guest meal is $5 and is payable in cash.
The CMH Auxiliary operates vending machines throughout the hospital, including near the cafeteria, in the Atrium, on the Third floor and Emergency Services. The vending machines offer cold pop, hot coffee and tea and selected snacks and candy.
Flowers and Mail
Flowers and mail are always a great way to cheer patients up and remind them of all the support they have to return home. To send flowers, contact any florist that delivers to Clinton Memorial Hospital. Give them the hospital’s address: 610 W. Main St. and the patient’s first and last name. The flowers will be delivered to the hospital’s main desk and then brought to the patient’s room by a volunteer. Mail can be sent using the same address
Public Phones and Restrooms
There are public restrooms located throughout the hospital. Ask a CMH staff member or volunteer for the nearest facilities. There are public pay phones in the main lobby. Courtesy phones, for local calls are located in the Professional Building lobby. Press “8” to get an outside line and dial the local number once you have a dial tone.
Galen and Elizabeth Hoggatt Chapel
Clinton Memorial Hospital does not have a religious affiliation. It welcomes patients of all faith and spiritual backgrounds and will do its best to provide adequate support to its patients and their loved ones. The Galen and Elizabeth Hoggatt Chapel, located on the first floor, is available for use at any time. Clinton Memorial Hospital recognizes the need for ongoing pastoral care and spiritual wellness for all our patients and families. The ministers of the Wilmington Area Ministerial Association agreed to form the CMH Chaplaincy Service. Its purpose is to provide pastoral care for patients, their families, Clinton Memorial Hospital and other CMH Regional Health System staff.
The chaplains are ordained or recognized ministers, priests or sisters of a congregation or denomination. They are also certified as a member of the CMH Chaplaincy Service. Chaplains take turns on call. The chaplain on call is available by phone day or night. If requested by the patient, area ministers will be notified by Volunteer Services when members of their congregation are hospitalized or when there is a patient without a congregation who would like support. Tell your nurse if you would like to see someone from this list or your own regular spiritual leader.
Medical Records/Health Information Management is located on the first floor. The department is responsible for maintaining all Clinton Memorial Hospital patient records in accordance with federal privacy and other regulations. If you need to have copies of some or all of your records or need information sent to another physician from your records, you will need to make a formal request and sign a release. Medical Records will process your request in approximately 4-5 business days. Records can be sent to other healthcare providers electronically, by courier or by mail. Those records that have been requested by the patient for their own use will need to pick-up in person with appropriate identification. There may be a nominal copying fee associated with these requests, as appropriate by law.

Lost and Found
If you or your loved one has recently visited Clinton Memorial Hospital and lost or forgotten something, you should first contact the department you visited by calling the hospital’s main phone number at (973) 382-6611. Or, you can call CMH Patient Relations line at (937) 382-9207. Our staff will do their best to help you find your lost item.
